That Which Sustains Us is a long-term exhibition exploring different knowledge traditions in the Vancouver area through people’s interactions with forests and the natural environment. It showcases traditional ecological knowledge related to forests, the consequences of the deforestation and urbanization of Vancouver, and the possibility of returning to sustainable land use practices. See Indigenous art, forestry industry artifacts and more as part of this exhibition.

Consultation sessions were held with community representatives from the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh nations, as well as environmental historians, and forestry researchers to shape That Which Sustains Us.
